The adiPure is adidas's leather boot for comfort and touch. It came out at the end of 2007, inspired by adidas's 1970s boots. Four adiPures came first, then the adiPure 11Pro in January 2012, the 11Pro II in 2013 and the 11Pro III in 2014. adidas ended the line in 2015. Since 2021 it has come back as remakes, two of them made for Toni Kroos.

2008 PairKaká debuted it as World Player of the Year. Lampard and Xabi Alonso wore it too. Soft leather, nothing overcomplicated.
Stitching inspired by the 1978 World Cup boot, a metal rivet on the collar flap and bladed Traxion studs.

adidas showed it in Yokohama, Japan, in December 2007, with Kaká at the launch, just before the Club World Cup. It reached shops in 2008. It was built on the Copa Mundial and World Cup boots, with a better soleplate and more comfort, and arrived as the adidas 7406 range was stopped.
The upper is soft K-leather (kangaroo), with adiPrene inserts in the insole. About 260g, around £95. It launched in black and white, then the brighter colours came. Van Persie and Gareth Barry wore it too.

First shown in January 2009 and officially out in mid-February, around £95. The tongue and ankle support are one piece. Moving the laces off-centre left a clean area on the instep for striking.
K-leather again, about 290g, on a TRX Traxion soleplate: metal-tipped SG or PU-studded FG.

Pre-orders opened on 12 December 2009: around £110 for the SG and £100 for the FG. Kangaroo leather, shiny leather at the heel, a new padded collar. The laces stayed off-centre.
The SG came with swappable hybrid studs. For the 2010 World Cup, adidas gave the adiPure, Predator and F50 one black and yellow look, and a limited gold adiPure came too.

The lightest adiPure yet: 280g for the FG, 35g less than the III. A shorter K-leather front with new stitching, ULT-K leather at the heel, and the III's heel counter kept. Same last as before.
In shops from 1 January 2011, around £120. A lighter, stripped-back SL version came in 2011. Toni Kroos wore the IV before he moved to the 11Pro: Zero Metallic/Black/Matte Gold.

The 11Pro arrived in 2012 on Schweinsteiger, Xabi Alonso and Lampard. New name, Taurus leather and a miCoach chip to track your sprints.

Shown in January 2012 and on sale from 1 February, in White/Black/High Energy, then Black/White/Slime. About £125, or £175 with the miCoach chip.
The Speed Cell sits in a cavity in the SprintFrame sole and logs time, distance, speed and sprints. At 8.2oz it was the lightest adiPure yet, 1.6oz less than the IV. Taurus leather had worked on the Predator. Not everyone wanted to lose the kangaroo.
The 11Pro SL came out the same day: 180g, soft K-leather with SprintSkin at the heel, around £140.

It landed in November 2013 in Blast Purple, part of the Samba Pack that started adidas's countdown to Brazil 2014. Lahm, Lampard and Hernanes wore it. Taurus leather again, now quilted and stitched, with memory foam and a new Comfort Frame sole with smaller, tighter studs.
For the World Cup, the Battle Pack dropped "adiPure" from the name. Lahm wore it, and Jorge Valdivia scored in a pair. In October 2014 came the Crazylight: 180g, a light synthetic skin, a snake print on the toe and the miCoach chip back.
Kroos's pair was white, sky blue and black. adidas made his on the 2009 adiPure III sole, with a German flag on the heel. Not even the chance to front the Copa 19+ launch in 2019 moved him. SoccerBible says he won five Champions League titles in the 11Pro, and he cleaned his boots himself.

11Pro III
Xabi Alonso and Kroos were seen training in it first. Black, three white stripes, kangaroo leather. It looked back at the first adiPure. Then, in 2015, adidas called time.

Pre-orders opened on 20 November 2014, at £125. The skeleton runs over the forefoot and heel, so adidas could drop the stitching and keep the boot stable. Same Comfort Frame sole as the 11Pro II, and a suede-like lining inside.
Below it sat the 11Nova (Taurus leather) and 11Questra (synthetic). The last colourway was the all-white No-Dye, for summer 2015. In May 2015 adidas ended the 11Pro, F50 adizero, Predator and Nitrocharge for new lines.

Some players never switch. Kroos is one.
No knit. No laceless upper. No tricks. Just soft leather and three stripes. Kroos found his boot in 2014 and never saw a reason to look again. That's the whole adiPure idea: if it works, leave it alone. If we could keep one? The white and blue 11Pro II. Easy.

2021: the Legends pair came in a pack with the F50 Ghosted and Predator Pulse, at £250.
2023: the 11Pro II came back in re-stitched Taurus leather, in two versions on the same day. Declan Rice trained at Arsenal in the regular pair. Two days later came Pro:Direct's PD25.
2024: "People have come to know me for my loyalty to the 11PRO," Kroos said. The gold 11PRO TK marked ten years of him in the boot. adidas also made him a one-off pair for the 2024 Champions League final. In July 2024, as he retired, adidas said the 11pro would be called the TKpro from then on.
2025: the Copa 11Pure sits on a chrome-blue Copa Pure III sole. Declan Rice was seen training in it.

Questions
How does the adidas adiPure / 11Pro fit?
True to size on every pair reviewers tested: the adiPure III, adiPure IV, 11Pro, 11Pro SL, 11Pro II and 11Pro III. The 11Pro is a little tighter in the midfoot, and the SL runs slightly long. On the 11Pro II, half a size down gives a tighter fit, because the leather stretches.
Is the 11Pro good for wide feet?
Yes, for most feet. SoccerReviews For You called the 11Pro II sole the widest base of any adidas boot at the time, and the 11Pro III adidas's widest boot after the Copa Mundial. The adiPure IV is on the wider side too.
Does the 11Pro leather stretch?
The 11Pro II and 11Pro III stretch like most leather boots. The adiPure IV hardly stretches, because of its stitching, but needs almost no breaking in.
When did the adidas adiPure come out?
adidas showed it in December 2007, with Kaká at the launch in Japan. It reached shops in 2008, before Euro 2008. More on the first adiPure.
How many adiPure and 11Pro models are there?
Seven originals from 2007 to 2015: adiPure, adiPure II, III, IV, adiPure 11Pro, 11Pro II and 11Pro III. Some had lighter SL versions. Since 2021 there have been remakes.
What's the difference between the adiPure and the 11Pro?
Same leather boot line, new name from 2012. The adiPure 11Pro swapped kangaroo leather for Taurus leather and added a miCoach cavity in a SprintFrame sole. From 2014 adidas dropped "adiPure" and just called it 11Pro.
What's the difference between the adiPure II and the adiPure III?
The II (early 2009) has a wrap-around tongue. The III (December 2009) went back to a loose tongue and added a raised white heel cap. Both have off-centre laces.
What's the difference between the adiPure IV and the 11Pro?
The IV (2010) is K-leather with central laces, 280g. The 11Pro (2012) is Taurus leather with a synthetic midfoot saddle and a miCoach cavity, and at 8.2oz it was the lightest adiPure yet.
What's the difference between the 11Pro and the 11Pro II?
The 11Pro II (November 2013) has stitched Taurus leather, memory foam, "11Pro" around the heel and a new Comfort Frame sole. No miCoach. The 11Pro (2012) has a smooth front and the miCoach cavity.
What's the difference between the 11Pro II and the 11Pro III?
The 11Pro III (November 2014) brought kangaroo leather back, with a support skeleton instead of stitching on the front. It kept the 11Pro II's Comfort Frame sole.
Is the 11Pro 2 the same as the 11Pro II?
Yes. The press says 11Pro 2 and 11Pro 3. We write 11Pro II and 11Pro III, as in our shop.
What boots did Toni Kroos wear?
The adiPure 11Pro II, from the 2014 World Cup until he retired in 2024. Before that he wore the adiPure IV.
Why did Toni Kroos keep wearing the 11Pro II?
In his own words (2019): "My football boots are the most important thing when I go out on the pitch." He said he has to play in white boots, and he cleaned them himself. adidas went along with it and kept making his pairs. More on the 11Pro II.
What's the difference between the 2023 TK edition and the regular 2023 re-release?
Same upper. The TK edition has a German flag on the heel and the 2009 adiPure III sole, and came only in Kroos's size, 8.5. The regular pair came in every size, with no flag, on a Copa Pure sole. See the remakes.
What is the PD25 11Pro?
An all-black 11Pro II remake for Pro:Direct's 25th birthday, out on 26 October 2023. 1,998 pairs, on a Copa Pure sole. More in Remakes.
What is miCoach on the 11Pro?
A small Speed Cell chip that sits in a cavity in the sole. It logs time, distance, speed and sprints. It came on the 2012 11Pro, was dropped on the 11Pro II, and came back on the 2014 Crazylight.
What is Taurus leather?
adidas's lighter leather, already used on the Predator. It replaced kangaroo leather on the 11Pro in 2012. One boot reviewer found it lighter and better in the wet, but slightly less durable.
Why did adidas stop making the 11Pro?
In May 2015 adidas ended the 11Pro, F50 adizero, Predator and Nitrocharge and moved to new boot lines. The last 11Pro colourway was the all-white No-Dye. More on the 11Pro III.
Is the adiPure coming back?
Not confirmed. Footy Headlines leaks (latest 6 October 2026) say a new adiPure will replace the Copa, with a teaser in December 2026 and a launch in January 2027. adidas hasn't confirmed it.
Is my 11Pro an original or a remake?
Check the sole and the heel. Most remakes sit on a modern Copa Pure sole. The 2023 TK has the 2009 adiPure III sole and a German flag on the heel. See the remakes.
Who wore the adidas adiPure?
Kaká debuted the first adiPure, with Lampard, Xabi Alonso and Van Persie. Schweinsteiger and Lampard wore the 11Pro, Lahm the 11Pro II, and Toni Kroos made it his boot.
